Payment Information

Checkout should be the easiest part of shopping with us — not something you have to think twice about. That's why we've built EMBESS around payment methods people already trust and use every day, rather than locking you into anything unfamiliar.

What we accept

At checkout, you'll be able to pay with:

  • Mastercard
  • American Express
  • Maestro
  • Apple Pay
  • Google Pay
  • Shop Pay

Exactly which of these appear for you depends a little on your device and where you're browsing from — that's normal and comes down to how each provider works, not anything on our end.

Paying by card

Paying with a credit or debit card is simple:

  1. Select Credit or Debit Card at checkout.
  2. Enter your card and billing details.
  3. Review your order summary, then confirm payment.

Once your payment goes through, you'll see confirmation immediately on-screen, followed by a confirmation email a few moments later.

Apple Pay & Google Pay

If you're on a supported Apple or Android device, Apple Pay and Google Pay let you skip typing out your card details entirely. Choose the option at checkout, confirm using your device's usual security check (Face ID, fingerprint, or passcode), and you're done.

Shop Pay

Shop Pay securely remembers your payment and shipping details, so future orders take seconds rather than minutes. If you've used it before, just sign in during checkout and confirm — no need to re-enter anything.

Other payment options

Depending on your location or device, additional payment methods may occasionally be offered at checkout. If one's available to you, it'll simply appear as an option — no action needed on your part.

Currency

All prices on EMBESS are displayed and charged in British Pounds (GBP). Where VAT applies, it's already built into the price you see — no surprise charges added at checkout.

How we keep payments secure

Keeping your payment details safe isn't an afterthought for us. Every transaction is encrypted via SSL and processed through certified, trusted payment providers. In practice, that means:

  • We never see or store your full card details
  • All payment processing happens through secure, dedicated payment gateways
  • Our checkout is kept up to date against current security standards
